Choices In Life Are Yours

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

Today’s Encouragement is a reminder to examine the choices you are making in life. Everyone makes a choice that will determine how well their day will go or how well life is going.

“Busy is a choice, stress is a choice, joy is a choice, choose well.”

Today is a great day to look at the choices you are making. Look at the busyness and stress in your life and determine if you are happy with the choices you are making.

My friend, if you are busy, but you do not like it, start saying no to some activities. It is not only okay to say no, it is healthy to say no. This is a choice, it is your choice.

Stand strong if you see stress has consumed you as a result constant conflict. Allow yourself the time to breathe and make the choice to be happy despite everything that is going on. Make the choice to remain happy even if your circumstances want to rob you of this joy.

Everything in life boils down to a series of choices. You can choose to remain strong or cave into the pressure. You can choose to remain calm when stress wants to consume you. You can choose to retain a slower life when busyness wants to consume your every minute.

My friend, do not let the powers of life rob you of your ability to make choices. They are yours and yours only. Stand strong and stand firm and do not allow anything to rob you of your choices you make in your life.

Stand strong, be firm, and be bold. Your choices are yours only!

Opportunities Are Hope

Motivation Monday

My friend, your inspiration today is to always look for the hope in life, no matter how difficult your journey may be.

“If you believe it will work out, you’ll see opportunities. If you believe it won’t you will see obstacles.”Wayne Dyer

I am encouraged often by a saying I see that says…

“Difficult journeys lead to beautiful destinations.” Author Unknown

There is truth to this saying, if only you have the strength to stay the course.

Life may be wrought with hardships at every turn, but my friend, never give up. By staying the course, eventually the road will get a little easier. You will learn lessons you would never have learned and with those lessons your next journey will be little easier than the one you are one now.

Hold on, breathe, and take this trial one moment at a time. Eventually those moments in time will add up, and with time, life will begin to look a little brighter.

As you look for hope, that hope will turn your obstacles into opportunities and with opportunities, life will look a little brighter. As life looks brighter, so will your focus because it will allow you to see clearly.

My friend, if you lose hope, your opportunities will begin to fade away because you will not be able to see them. This time of darkness may be real for you, but it does not mean you have to stay here. Gather your strength to fight again. Fight back with every ounce of strength you have. Fight to look for that light of hope, because when you do, you will find it again. Once it is found, life will turn itself around and obstacles will begin to fade and opportunities will begin to appear again. With those opportunities, life will look a little less daunting and a little more easier.

My friend, the biggest lesson I hope you take out of this encouragement and motivation today is this, no matter how difficult your journey is God has never left your side. It may be dark and you may not be able to see or feel Him, but that does not mean He is not there. He has been holding your hand the entire time. He has been whispering the steps to take at every turn. It is not His fault if you did not listen. He has never left your side. Lean on Him now. Allow Him to renew your strength and hope. He is just waiting for you to ask. He is like your parents. How many times as a child did you struggle with something and your parents just stood by watching you? They were there the entire time, but did not offer to help you because they were waiting and watching to see if you could do this task or if you would need help. Well, the same thing applies here. God has never left your side no matter how alone you may be feeling. Reach out now and ask for His guidance. He will give it to you, but remember you have to listen because without listening, you will not hear Him.

My motivation for you today is to seek God for your guidance, strength, and hope again. Ask Him to show you opportunities that you may have missed in the past and allow Him to restore a vision for this journey you are traveling. When you do, this difficult road you are on will not look so hard and today will be a little bit brighter. Your hope will be restored.

Look For The Good, Do Not Be Consumed ByThe Bad

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

Today’s Encouragement and Motivation comes with a challenge to open your heart to see through the difficulties life throws your way.

“What you hold in your heart, you will see in your world.” Ralph Marston.

There is truth to this simple statement. How many times does it seem like as the struggles continue to mount, life seems to spin out of control? It is because you are on heightened alert for this struggle.

  • Have you experienced financial difficulties and you see them all around?
  • Have you almost lost your home and see homelessness all around?
  • Have you battled a health issue and you see the similarities of others all around?
  • Do you battle a chronic illness and you see others who have similar illnesses all around?
  • Are you in a difficult relationship and see others in similar relationships all around?

My friend, this is because you are emotionally in tuned to these hardships. What is in your heart is what you tend to be looking for whether it be at a conscious or a subconscious level.

Today’s challenge and motivation is to break through this barrier and look past what you are struggling with to see the positive things in life that have been overshadowed by difficulties all around.

If you are tired or even exhausted from dealing with these trials, turn it around today. Take some time to look for things that make you happy. When you make a conscious effort to look for things that are good, you will begin to see them again and you will be encouraged to look for more. Once you see these and they take root in your life, life will begin to look a little brighter giving you the courage to move through your difficulty without it consuming you any longer.

You can do it! Look up and smell the roses. Life will begin to look happier when you do.

Life is What is Hiding In Your Heart

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

Today’s message is simple,

”What you hold in your heart, you will see in the world.” Ralph Marston.

If you are holding a heart of gratitude, love, patience, and peace; this is what you will see in the world.

If you are holding a heart of fear, anger, grief and dismay; this is what you will see as well.

My friend, today’s encouragement and motivation is to evaluate what you have in your heart and it will give you a better understanding of what you seeing everyday.

Today is the day to make the necessary changes if you are not satisfied with what you see and who you are.

Be honest with yourself because deserve the best your life has to offer.

Friendships Are Unique Relationships

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

B82D0AD2-BAC7-4F74-A223-45265906FED1If you are blessed enough to have a friendship do not take it for granted. Each one should be cherished for it’s own relationship.

Each person has a personality that reflects a portion of yours which is why that friendship works for you and maybe not for someone else.

When we moved where we live now, I struggled for years to find a “new” friendship. I had never struggled with making friends before, but here I am, living in a new place with a new baby and I only knew a couple of people and they were my relatives.

I discovered as I struggled with this season of loneliness that the friendships I had were only temporal. Back then we didn’t have the social connections we have today with our computers, Facebook, Instagram accounts and cell phones. Back then you either picked up the phone and called someone or you wrote a note or sent a card in the mail.

You had to make a greater effort to stay in touch with your friends and loved ones. There wasn’t the instant gratification of social media or FaceTime .

To the person who knows this pain of loneliness, hang tough. God knows your heart and is preparing that perfect friend for you and will introduce you when He feels it is the perfect timing.

Have faith and be patient. When God blesses you with that friend, it will be sweeter then you could have possibly wished for.

I know this feeling all too well. I had to go several years without that special relationship, but when I least expected it, I met my best friend and we truly have a unique and special friendship that I could never have looked for had I settled for just any friend.

As a result of not being impatient and just jumping ahead of my desire, God blessed me richly with the ones I have now.

Over the past year and half to two years, God opened up the doors to some special people whom I call friends.

Not in a million years could I have picked any of these people who are in my life. Each and every of them hold a special place in my heart. Each one of them reflects a piece of my personality which contributes to our relationships. We compliment each other which allows for our friendships to blossom and grow.

My Lonely Friend, have faith, God will do this for you as well. Wait Him out and when you do, the blessings you will receive will be well worth the wait.

Love Yourself Enough To Trust Yourself

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

A5AD0597-D86E-431F-8497-C9947BE5C6AA

Happy Monday!

I am here to remind you to…

“Love Yourself enough to Trust Yourself.”

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”  Alexander Graham Bell.

How many times do we find ourselves questioning what we should do in life and we just stand there paralyzed from fear, confusion, uncertainty, insecurity, and a lack of trust in ourselves?

Today is the day I want you to look in the mirror and tell yourself, “I love you and I will trust in you again!”

My friend, many times we get so busy with life that we find ourselves trapped by a series of poor decisions or we are living a life consequences due to our poor choices. As a result we forget there is a need to love and trust ourselves enough to believe our inner voice called the Spirit of God and our inner judgement to make decisions.

You need to learn to love and trust yourself again. By doing this you will be able to confidently walk away from the closed doors you are waiting on and will be able to see the doors God is opening now.

You’ve Got This! You Can Do This!

Small Things Have Bigger Meanings

My friend, “Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”Author Unknown.

I am completely exhausted and my brain has shut down, but I liked the meaningfulness behind these words.

I am praying I can get some sleep tonight. If I can, I will be able to write a “real” post tomorrow.

Happy Saturday!

Kindness

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

Today’s Encouragement theme is based on kindness.

Have you ever thought about the effect you have on others when you share a little kindness with them?

Rarely do you share a moment of kindness with someone and they return this gesture back with a moment of ugly or harsh behavior.

The normal response is that of showing kindness in return.

Today’s challenge is to look for an opportunity to share a random act of kindness with a person who doesn’t expect it. Then watch for how they respond back. It is my hope and prayer they will respond back with a bit of kindness in return.

It is my hope and desire this will be a pleasant experience for you and one that will start your week out on the right foot.

Happy Monday!

Cultivate Relationships

Encouragement Today & Motivation Monday

2AC6723D-4080-4B1D-B5E3-C54F3DA0E309Do you have family and friends who mean everything to you?

Most people do, now think about what you do to keep them close? Do you invest your time, effort, imagination, and energy into them?

“Your family and your love must be cultivated like a garden. Time, effort, and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing.” Jim Rohn

Do you shop for them? Text them? Call them? Show them how much you love and care for them?

Most people would say yes because that is how we maintain our relationships.

Ok, how about this twist, do you have a relationship that is struggling? Do you have a spouse, family member, or a close friend that is in your life and you are struggling to maintain a relationship with them?

I am going to present a challenge to you. Thoughtfully and prayerfully consider what they like and what they hold that is meaningful to them then consider doing an act of love for them today.

This act should not be done to receive any form of recognition back. It should be done to show them for no specific reason that you love them and still care about them.

Things to consider can be sending flowers. Write a note and deliver or mail it to just say, “I love you or I was thinking about you today.” Consider if you work with them or live with them of buying their favorite drink or snack and leave it on their desk or on the table with a simple note that says I care about you. Consider if you live with them to make their favorite food.

It can be simple, but it has to come from your heart.

It is amazing how fragile and damaged relationships stem a lot from the feeling of abandonment or damaged feelings. They don’t feel loved or cared about any more.

Now, I can hear many of you thinking, but I am the one who has been damaged and hurt. They ruined our relationship and I am hurt.

My friend, I am there with you. I know that hurt feeling and how deep it runs, but it doesn’t dismiss us from still doing what is right.

I am feeling in my heart this note of encouragement was designed for many of you who are hurt by someone. I feel God is wanting me to encourage all of you to do this random act of love because He is already working on their hearts. He is healing their hearts, but He needs your help by sharing just a simple moment of your time with a simple gesture of love to encourage the healing in their hearts.

Now, be mindful, this one random act of love by itself isn’t enough, however every act of healing has to begin with taking one step forward. I, by no means, am stating this will heal all relationships, but I am stating if you go out on this limb then God will guide you from there.

My challenge is designed to encourage you to take that first difficult step forward and I am trusting God will do the rest for you.

When I give you these challenges I take them seriously as well. While I was writing this I had two people come to mind that I will be doing my simple gestures for.

Now, My Friend, how about you? Will you consider doing this for someone God puts on your heart?

If you do, feel free to leave a simple comment below stating I will accept your challenge.
