Do Not Grow Weary

I do not know what your week holds for you. I do not know what blessings you will receive or what struggles you will battle, but one thing remains week after week, day after day.

This constant is God.

Today’s reminder is to encourage you with these great words from Galatians,

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (ESV).

Do not give up my friend!! You’ve got whatever comes your way.

One day you will look back on today and give God the praise for helping you get through it.

Turning Frustrations Into Determination

Are you having one of those days where you just wish something would go right?

Maybe you were up all night or you got up and your car wouldn’t start, or you just received a phone call from the baby sitter saying you need to leave work to pick up your sick child?

It doesn’t matter what you have struggled with today.

All that matters is that you are still moving forward.

Instead of allowing your frustrations to manifest in your soul and consume your entire day, try releasing all the penned up anxiety and turn it into the power of determination.

Use that extra adrenaline energy for something good and redeem your day.

You will feel better when you do.

You’ve got this Friend! 💜

You Are Never In Total Darkness

Do You Struggle With The Power of Darkness

I am feeling God has a few of His own who are in need of some encouragement today.

  • Are you struggling with finding your self worth and identity because somehow over the years and the busyness of life you have lost who you are? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you struggling in a difficult relationship? Do you struggle with a battle within you to know if you stay and fight for your marriage or is it time to walk away? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you fighting with health needs? Are you in pain all the time? Are you frustrated with fighting with the doctors or insurance companies to get them to listen to you, to hear you, and to help you? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you in a season of struggling with your child/ren to get them to listen to you. Do you feel like they are distancing themselves from you and your family? Are you frustrated and discouraged? My friend, do not walk away from this struggle. Keep pray, keep loving, and keep reaching out to them. They need you, even though they may not feel as though they do. Fight for your child! Remain their safe place. Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you a new parent who is fighting sleep deprivation and as a result feel the weight of darkness all around, but you do not tell anyone as this is suppose to be one of your happiest times in your life, as you hold the love of your life in your arms? Know, you are not alone.

My friend, God gave me this verse for you, who are in pain today.

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”” John 8:12 NKJV

No matter how dark life might seem, please know there is a light that is wrapped around you. This light is so you will never remain in total darkness. It is God’s light which surrounds you and has you consumed because one day you believed in Him.

Allow that light to shine on your darkness while you use it to light the way out of this dark time. Follow it until you find the peace and comfort you need to not feel alone.

My friend, reach out to those who are closest to you. Allow them to help you, pray for you, and encourage you.

If you feel they are not enough and you would rather reach out to someone who doesn’t know you, feel free to leave a comment below. I am here to lift you up in prayer.

My hope God uses today’s encouragement to touch your heart and to remind you, you are not alone.

Draw Close To What Inspires and Motivates You

I am here to encourage you today to do something that is inspirational, motivational, and makes you happy.

I challenge you to find a time to allow peace and harmony in your life today. At some point to allow yourself to breathe and find a place of rest. Even if it nothing more than taking a quick break at work. Take a quick walk. Listen to your favorite song or music. Try a few breathing techniques. It doesn’t matter what you do so long as you take the time to find that place of peace and harmony you need to get you through the day.

Dream big and reach for what motivates you. Consider that job promotion that would have scared you before. Consider that class you have always wanted to take, or simply reach for the stars. Dream bigger than what you believe is possible as that is where God will reach you and give you the strength to achieve them.

Lastly, have the courage to conquer your fears. Place your faith over your fear and reach for what allows you to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. You will never regret what you strive for. You will only regret what you do not reach for.

Have a wonderful day!!

Lessons Learned From Seasons and Ripples

Today’s encouragement is coming via the lenses of someone who is worn out, beat down, frustrated, and exhausted.

I know there are many of you who are living a season in life where this is you as well.

My encouraging words to you are these,

“You are doing an amazing job!”

Do not let society dictate how you feel about yourself.

Do not let them determine your worth, whether you are struggling at every crisis or you are feeling like a “rock star” at this thing called life.

We all go through seasons where we are on top of the world and everything is running smoothly and the problems are minimal, to where no matter which direction you turn, there is another crisis just waiting for you to resolve.

My friend, today I am here to encourage you to keep your chin up and make some time to “rest” today.

If you are in a season of struggles, conflicts, or busyness; take some time to rest your mind and body so you are better able to handle what comes your way next.

By doing this you will be amazed by the strength you will be renewed with.

Lastly, remember if this is a difficult season, it will not last forever.

The seasons in life are like the ripples in the water. They are all uniquely original and will never be the same once they passed.” -HD Benson

No matter how difficult life may be, rest in the assurance, this season will pass. Take the experiences you have learned from and leave behind that which you can not change.

My friend, you will get through! Today will be a better day, no matter how difficult your life may be.

Fallacies Do Not Equate To Truth

design-45Encouragement Today

Are you feeling overwhelmed?

Are you feeling like no one understands why you are frustrated?

Are you feeling lost even within your family?

Are you feeling invisible?

Are you struggling with being misunderstood?

Are your emotions misunderstood?

Are you constantly working, while others see you struggle, but offers no help?

My friend, these feelings of hurt and frustration are real. There are valid and legitimate reasons, circumstances, and events that have occurred in your life leading to these feelings.

Unfortunately, the feelings may feel real, but it is important to identify what is true and what are the lies we tell ourselves.

I know when I am frustrated and I say things out of that frustration, and my daughter quickly reminds me, this is what I am telling myself, but those thoughts are not real.

We can easily fall into the trap of constant disappointment and hurt and as a result, the enemy is in our heads feeding us these lies about ourselves.

  • He tells us we are a failure.
  • He tells us we are not important.
  • He shows us all of our negative emotions and how out of control we are.
  • He tells us we are irresponsible.
  • He tells us how unloving we are.
  • He tells us how ugly we are.
  • He tells us how bad we are at being daughters and sons, wives and husbands, moms and dads.

My friend, he shouts these lies loudly so we can not miss them.

What we need to do is shut him down and for everything you hear, shout back and say, No…

  • I am not a failure, I AM SUCCESSFUL in x, y, z.
  • I am not out of control. I AM IMPORTANT.
  • I am not irresponsible, I AM RESPONSIBLE.
  • MY FEELINGS ARE REAL and valid, but I will not let them run me.
  • I am not unloving, I HAVE PLENTY OF LOVE to share with others.
  • I am not ugly, I AM BEAUTIFUL or HANDSOME.
  • I am not a bad parent, daughter or son, or wife or husband, I AM the Best I know how to be.

My friend, take the time to evaluate where the truth is in with what you are experiencing. By knowing what the truth is, you will be able to see the lies in what you believe. The enemy’s objective is to tear you down and destroy you physically and emotionally so you do not fight back. Resist these lies and fight back standing on your truth and principle.

“Hold your head up high and fight back against what is not true. Just because you feel it, does not make it is real.”

Remember this fact and truth… you are worth fighting for. You are strong enough to fight back against the lies you tell yourself and the lies the enemy tells you.

You are… enough!! See the truth and believe it!!!!!!

Do Not Forget “You” While Encouraging Others

design-37Encouragement Today

Today is to encourage those who love and support your chronically ill family and friends.

Do you have a loved one or a dear friend who is struggling with the physical effects of a chronic illness or pain?

Do you watch them while you find yourself struggling with experiencing the frustration of not being able to help?

Do you struggle with wanting to cry because of the constant pain they are in?

Does the darkness of the day, your pillow or your shower know the hidden tears you have shed?

Have you run out of encouraging words to share because everything you say is found to be redundant?

Do you know the pain and frustration of letting others down when your plans change because your loved one is not well or strong enough to go?

Have you lost friends because they do not understand the loyalty you have to your sick loved one?

How many times have you sat in a hospital emergency room or doctor appointment and you feel alone while you hold the hand of your sick family or friend?

My friend, please know you are not alone. There are many people who know the pain of loving and supporting a chronically ill loved one.

It is important to remember, it is healthy to reach out to those family and friends who will lift “you” up in prayer.

I have included a list of specific prayers you can ask your friends to pray for you.

Request prayer for God to hold you in His loving arms while you hold your sick loved one in yours.
Ask them to pray for the loving words of encouragement, strength, and comfort you can share with your loved one while supporting and encouraging them.
Ask for the wisdom you need in order to ask the difficult questions that they will not think to ask for themselves.
Lastly, ask for the strength to fight for the care for your loved one if the doctor is a difficult and unsympathetic one.

It is important to know, it is not selfish to ask for emotional and physical help for yourself while you take care of your loved one. It is important to do this because you can not serve, encourage, or support others from an empty vessel.

This is a tough, long, and difficult journey you are on if your loved one has an ongoing health crisis or is experiencing regular chronic pain. This situation is not going away after a week or ten days. It is one which continues on for weeks, months, and years ahead,

You will not have the physical stamina, no matter how hard you try, to sustain this without the physical and emotional support of others who love you. You need them and their prayers to keep moving forward and pushing past the exhaustion you feel on a regular basis.

My friend, please do not be afraid to lean on your circle of friends or your encouraging groups to seek this help for yourself. When you do, you will experience a spiritual renewal and refreshment that is needed for your spirit and soul. This refreshment and renewal will enable you to keep going as you continue to travel this journey with your loved one.

Remember this… you are important and you are… enough! Do not forget to take care of “you” while you take care of your loved one.

Seeing Beauty Thru The Tears

Encouragement Today

design-191Are you struggling tonight or today? My friend, I am here to remind you your pain is real.

Are you feeling the pain of an illness that has you worn down and exhausted? Are you struggling with the darkness of depression or PTSD? Do you have tears running down your face, but no one sees them?

Are you grieving the loss of a parent, spouse, child, sibling, or close friend? Do you feel the pain so intensely that you can not fathom what life will look like without them?

Are you the caretaker of a loved one battling the ugly disease of cancer? Do you hold their hand and stroke their forehead to comfort them while you choke back the tears in order for them to see you are strong?

Please know despite the darkness which is all around you that there are brighter days ahead. It is hard to see right now but know during this time of your deepest sorrow that it will become a source of your greatest strength.

Take the time to think about this analogy. When a thunderstorm comes rolling in, does it not darken the sky and override the beauty the sun provided? Think about your life as a thunderstorm. You did have the joy of the sunny days, but the storm clouds rolled in hiding those experiences from you.

The wind begins to blow and the rain begins to fall. As the thunder gets closer and stronger, does it not begin to feel fierce? Well, this is where you may be right now. You are in the thunder part of the storm. The thunder is clapping, the wind is blowing harder, and the rain is pouring. You are in the darkness of the storm with the tears streaming down your face, but hold tight, my friend.

Just as every thunderstorm passes, so will your trials and struggles. Be sure to look back and watch for the brilliant rainbow that often appears after a bad or severe storm. As you dry your tears, ask God to show you the beauty of the storm you just went through.

How many times have you noticed, as you look around after a storm, everything has a brilliant shade of green to it. The leaves on the trees, the grass on the ground, the flowers in the gardens take on a sharpness to their colors. Despite the storm, the wind and the rain, the lightning recharged the ground and providing an electrical charge to our nature all around. Only could God take something as dangerous as lightning to make His creation beautiful.

Just as God does this with our environment, He does the same with our lives. Consider your trial and hardship right now as the lightning of your storm. It does not last forever. It will pass no matter how severe it was and the same will happen here. Take the time to see the brilliance of the trees, the grass, and the flowers. Ask God to reveal what you are to learn from all you are going through while you ask Him to show you His rainbow of grace, so you can move past this trying time.

Keep your chin up no matter how hard or dark this time is for you. I am here to remind you that no matter how difficult this time is, there will be brighter days ahead. Just as the storm truly passes, so will yours.

You are stronger than you think, My Friend. You will get through this time of darkness!
