Do Not Grow Weary

I do not know what your week holds for you. I do not know what blessings you will receive or what struggles you will battle, but one thing remains week after week, day after day.

This constant is God.

Today’s reminder is to encourage you with these great words from Galatians,

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (ESV).

Do not give up my friend!! You’ve got whatever comes your way.

The Path Less Traveled

You’ve got this Friend!

“Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go; just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.” -Unknown

You’ve got anything life can throw your way.

God has empowered you with the strength, determination, and endurance to battle what lays ahead.

Remember, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1 ESV.

Take one step at a time and lean on God for your strength as well as your refuge.

One day you will look back on today and give God the praise for helping you get through it.

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12 ESV.

Hang in there and know, whatever you may be going through, it will not last forever.

You’ve got this Friend, you’ve got this! 💜

You Are Never In Total Darkness

Do You Struggle With The Power of Darkness

I am feeling God has a few of His own who are in need of some encouragement today.

  • Are you struggling with finding your self worth and identity because somehow over the years and the busyness of life you have lost who you are? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you struggling in a difficult relationship? Do you struggle with a battle within you to know if you stay and fight for your marriage or is it time to walk away? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you fighting with health needs? Are you in pain all the time? Are you frustrated with fighting with the doctors or insurance companies to get them to listen to you, to hear you, and to help you? Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you in a season of struggling with your child/ren to get them to listen to you. Do you feel like they are distancing themselves from you and your family? Are you frustrated and discouraged? My friend, do not walk away from this struggle. Keep pray, keep loving, and keep reaching out to them. They need you, even though they may not feel as though they do. Fight for your child! Remain their safe place. Know, you are not alone.
  • Are you a new parent who is fighting sleep deprivation and as a result feel the weight of darkness all around, but you do not tell anyone as this is suppose to be one of your happiest times in your life, as you hold the love of your life in your arms? Know, you are not alone.

My friend, God gave me this verse for you, who are in pain today.

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”” John 8:12 NKJV

No matter how dark life might seem, please know there is a light that is wrapped around you. This light is so you will never remain in total darkness. It is God’s light which surrounds you and has you consumed because one day you believed in Him.

Allow that light to shine on your darkness while you use it to light the way out of this dark time. Follow it until you find the peace and comfort you need to not feel alone.

My friend, reach out to those who are closest to you. Allow them to help you, pray for you, and encourage you.

If you feel they are not enough and you would rather reach out to someone who doesn’t know you, feel free to leave a comment below. I am here to lift you up in prayer.

My hope God uses today’s encouragement to touch your heart and to remind you, you are not alone.

Love, Strength and Sunsets

The Same Love That Created The Sunset, Loves You as Well

I hope my daughter doesn’t mind my sharing an absolutely beautiful sunset she sent me last night as she was crossing over the water on her way home. This sunset can only be made by God, it’s Creator.

Today’s message is short, but my prayer is that it is meaningful.

My friend, I am here to remind you today, no matter what you may be facing or what obstacles you may be trying to hurdle, that the same God who created this sunset is the same God who will walk you through your situation.

Here is a verse to cling to if you are in need of His promise to love us unconditionally,

“The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.” Psalm 33:5 NIV

‭‭I do not know what your circumstances are, but I know one thing that is true, God’s Love is always and forever, with no strings attached.

He loves us even when we forget how to love our selves.

Lean on Him today, My Friend! He will give you the strength you need.

Hugs to each and one of you! 💜

Letting Go of The Extra Weight You Are Carrying

Encouragement Today

img_3567

My Friend, today is the day I want you to look at what you are carrying, whether it is physical or emotional, and I want you to set that baggage down while releasing the energy that is associated with it.

Be thinking about what has you weighed down in life? What have you been avoiding? What conflict have you been resisting because you did not have the strength or the courage to face it?

Today is the day to address the difficulty you are faced with and tackle it head-on.

  • Take care of it!
  • Do it!
  • Challenge it!
  • Face it!
  • Conquer it!

Do not let the power of fear consume you any longer. Do not let your thoughts persuade you this is wrong, for many times our thoughts are what hold us captive and allow the fear we feel to consume us leaving us vulnerable and out of control.

“Thoughts may have power, but actions triumph in the end.” – HD Benson

Walk bravely and with confidence knowing, in the end, it will be finished. The baggage you are carrying will be left behind as you walk away from this difficulty and you will be renewed with a peace that you have not felt in a long time.

I will give you to the end of the week and I want you to be able to breathe a deep sigh of relief while boldly and bravely saying, “It is DONE!”

You can do this. You are braver than you think and stronger than you believe. I have confidence in you. Grab that same confidence and run with it. Allow it to take hold of you and conquer what lies ahead.

Lastly, remember this… YOU ARE ENOUGH! You can do this!!!

Feel free to leave a comment below and either share with me what you are going to let go or share with me what you accomplished.

I would love to share in your joy or walk prayerfully beside you as you tackle this difficult challenge. If you wish to keep it between us, leave that request with your comment and I will keep your request private.

Learning To Sail With Our Master On Deck

Encouragement Today

design-207Today’s encouragement is to remind you to not let the power of fear rule your life. Life is a mysterious adventure and it is one that no matter how old you are, you have not lived. As I am beginning my day along beside of the rest of you, one thing remains the same, today is a day in my life that I have not lived before.

Everything that comes about is most likely something you have not done before because, with everything that is “normal”, there is something I have not experienced yet.

As our college students are packing up their things to head off to college, no matter if this is for the first time or they are going off for their senior year, no one has done what they are preparing to do. Packing may be “normal”, but what is right around the corner is not. They have not experienced the classes they are preparing to take because they will all be new. Will they be easy or will they be hard? No one knows until they get into the class and determine this for themselves. They may or may not have the same professors they have, had before.

I am certain, however, of this one thing, there are a lot of nervous kids getting ready to embark on new journeys.

It does not matter if they are a preschooler or a kindergartener, a first grader, or a middle schooler, high schooler, or college student; this one thing remains the same, they have not done what they are getting ready to do before.

This can be a scary place, one wrought with fear and anxiety. My sweet parents, if you have a child getting ready to set sail on this journey, guide them to their Master and give them the power to take control of their ship. Do not allow them to go off with the fear and anxiety they are harboring when their Master Sailor can take this away.

I also think of the people with health issues. Every doctor appointment you go to is uniquely original, as you have not done that appointment before. I think of this because my husband is sick with the very thing he had surgery for a year and a half ago. Is the illness the same, yes. What is different about this time is the treatment plan, now it has reoccurred. He goes back to the surgeon tomorrow, but tomorrow will be a new day with a new appointment and with a new treatment plan that we are unsure of.

This can be a scary place if I allow the anxiety, fear, and worry to consume me. He is out of sick and vacation leave, so with every day he is home, it is no paycheck. Is this a new place for us, no. We did this last time, but what makes it a new problem this time, is that we do not know what they will tell us. Will he have to have surgery again? Will it be a new lifestyle? Will it be a fix that is simple enough to be done in a doctor’s office? We do not know the answers which make this different from last time. We have not lived this before because we have not lived today or tomorrow before. I am, however, clinging to the hope that God knows about all of this even though we have not lived it yet, because I know with God being the Master of my ship, He will teach me how to navigate these waters smoothly.

Many people find their “unknown” to be a scary and fearful place. They find themselves in a position where anxiety, fear, and worry will consume them.

My friend, today I am here to encourage you to not let the fear, worry, and anxiety consume you. Go into every situation thinking about this sailboat illustration and remind yourself of this truth,

I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my ship. Author Unknown

Allow yourself the same grace and mercy you show others as they are navigating waters they have not gone through. If you would not be disappointed in them for not knowing how to do something, why would you do it to yourself?

My friend, today’s challenge is to make a conscious effort to not be consumed by worry and fear. Remember this verse in the Bible,

“The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.” Luke 8:24 NIV

No matter how alone you may feel during your storm, you have to tell yourself, you are not sailing your ship alone. You have something even better, you have the Master Sailor teaching you how to sail your ship. Allow Him to take control over your fears and anxiety because when you do, He will dissolve each and every one of them.

This is when you will truly be freed from the bondage of your anxiety and fears and will truly be sailing your ship while enjoying every moment of the fresh breeze in your face and the quiet sounds of the waves on the water.

You are worth this, my Friend! Let it go and truly sail your ship with your Master Sailor on board.

Do Not Be Consumed By Your Fears

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

Today’s motivation is inspired by this quote today,

“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” George Addair.

Do not get consumed and paralyzed by your fear of something you want to do.

Instead, look deep down inside yourself and find the strength to conquer and persevere over this battle of fear.

As a result you will walk away with the ability to hold your head up, standing tall and strong, as well as empowered knowing you no longer being held as a prisoner to your fear.

You are brave enough to win your battle over your fears.

Peace Is Living In The Moment

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

F0742B95-A651-47B1-B71C-192E4EC5EA37Today’s Encouragement and Motivation is to remind you to not get so busy with life and worry that you forget to live for the moment of today’s life, peace, and happiness.

Do you live a life that is full of chaos and turmoil that attacks you at every turn? Do you worry about the past whether it be relationships, your job, or decisions you have made?

Do you find yourself having panic attacks about the future and what it holds? Do you have to make an important decision that has you paralyzed?

Are you a young person who is struggling to find your way in the adult world? Are you struggling with if you should go to college, what college classes do you need to take, but you are fearful of them? Are you getting ready to graduate in the spring, but you have no idea where you are going to work and you know the college loans will be coming in shortly after graduation?

Are you not happy with your employment situation because it doesn’t meet your financial needs? Are you looking forward to the future advancement, but you are fearful of failure and rejection?

Do you have a chronic illness and you get discouraged because you just can not see an end in sight for a healing? Are you in need of a treatment or a surgery, but fear has you uncertain if you should do it or not?

My friend, no matter what your past looks like or what your future holds, the importance to life is the present moment, the here and now, the present.

“Forget yesterday–it has already forgotten you. Don’t sweat tomorrow–you haven’t even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift–today.” Steve Maraboli

God wants us to live for today and not to worry about tomorrow.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I know this is extremely difficult to do. I find myself struggling in the same area, but it is what God commands us to do. Focus on only today. Do not borrow tomorrow’s worries for there is nothing you can do about them until tomorrow.

Today is a big enough day. Tackle only what today brings forth. If you need to break out your planner or a scrap piece of paper and write yourself a to do list, do it. Only accomplish what is on that list for today freeing your mind of all the extra clutter that does not need to be in it.

Do not fill your every minute of your day either. Allow yourself to take a break to breathe and refresh your mind. Take a walk, read a book, write in a journal, or create something with your hands. It doesn’t matter what you do so long as you do it and it is something you enjoy. My friend, no… no… no… it can not be a chore such as prepping your supper or doing a load of laundry. No chores. This is about you and you only. Those chores come in their own place in your daily life of today.

Your simple reminder for today is to focus only on today. Let the rest of the week come as it arrives.

Today is today!

Lastly, remember this…

You Are Enough! You Are Beautiful! Ps 139:14
