My mission is to provide you with inspiration and encouragement to live everyday to it's fullest. I do this by sharing the simple things in life such as recipes to the most difficult of things such a life. We all know life is a struggle and many days a balancing act, but I am here to inspire you to do it well. Everything I write about is designed to inspire as well as encourage you to be a "better" you that you can be. Everything I share is raw and real. I do not cover up or sugar coat what I write about. This would benefit no one. My goal is for you to walk away feeling uplifted and encouraged after leaving my page. Lastly, I am here to remind you that you are… enough and beautiful… just the way you are.
Today’s Encouragement is to remind you how important you are.
Do you question your value or your worth?
Do you struggle with the difficulties life offers?
Do you ever question, if this is how life is going to be, then why did God create you?
My Friend, I am here to remind you God doesn’t make mistakes. He created you with a specific purpose, one which is specifically unique to only you. He knows what you can handle.
This is why no matter how familiar your story could be to someone else, it is still only yours, uniquely yours.
God reminds us in Jeremiah 1:5 that,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Today’s gentle reminder is that you are not a surprise to Him. Your circumstances are not a surprise to Him. He knew you and what you would be doing long before He created you.
My Friend, find peace today in the assurance that if God brought you to your pain or crisis, He will bring you through it. He created you for this situation. Nothing is a surprise to Him.
Be encouraged My Friend. God will strengthen you today and will provide you a peace that passes all understanding.
Accept His grace to conquer your battles and rest in His peace today.
Breathe today My Friend! You’ve got this. Walk in the peace and assurance today that God is with you. You are not alone because the same God who formed you in the womb is the same God walking with you through this storm.
Is your life difficult at the moment because worries seem to be piling upon each other and you find the stress unbearable?
Are you in a season of transition, whether you are seeking a new job opportunity or moving to another state or country and you find the stress unbearable?
Are you getting married or having a baby and the months of preparations are quickly disappearing leaving you defenseless to the time and calendar you have been working so diligently with. Now time is running out and you have no idea how you will be ready for the big event to arrive and you find the stress unbearable?
Are you living with a loved one who is struggling with health issues or a chronic illness and they just can not find the road to recovery? Do you find yourself exhausted and helpless because there is nothing you can do to help them feel better? You are trying to be understanding, empathetic, and sympathetic to the health issues, but you are struggling with a concerned and fear over the lack of a paycheck coming in and you find the stress unbearable?
Are you a college student who is struggling to meet the goals of turning in assignments, writing papers, and preparing for final exams while you find the stress unbearable?
My friend, no matter how unbearable you find your stress and how out of control your circumstances may seem, I have a reliable reminder for you today, God knows about all of it. He sees the magnitude of it, as well as the tiniest morsel of it. He knows what the outcomes are as well as what the provisions are. Not one of these circumstances has taken Him by surprise.
We are to trust in Him and have the faith to know it will all come together in the end.
Here are a few verses I looked up with the hopes they will inspire and encourage you to know that no matter what happens, with “faith and trust”, it will all work out.
“He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 New International Version (NIV)
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
“… for we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)
Today, my friend, reclaim your life from the fear that took you captive and replace it with a trust in God because He knows about everything going on.Turn your fear into faith and walk away with your head held high because no matter how much stress you are feeling and how unmanageable it may feel, God has it all under control.
Lastly, the image I chose for today’s post was chosen to remind us all; with the proper care, love, water, and sun, God can take a tiny seed and turn it into a beautiful flower. If He can do this with a tiny seed planted in the ground, how much more does He love and cherish us?
Do not let the worries, concerns, and stress of life deaden you to the beauty God holds for you. Allow the same love, sun and rain God provides for the plants to nurture your life in the same way.
My friend, take some time today to rest in your Heavenly Father’s arms. While you are there, ask Him to free you from the bondage of stress and fear you have been experiencing and allow your faith to be refreshed by His grace and mercy.
Today’s Encouragement is inspired from this quote,
“A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch but on it’s own wings. Always believe in yourself”
My friend, today’s message is simple; believe in yourself. Have confidence in your own abilities.
All to often life beats us up and our confidence is one of the first things to go.
I am here to remind you to protect yourself from the evils of the world. Your confidence is important because it protects you by providing the power to fight back against the evils that await you with a soul purpose to tear you down.
Remain confident, My Friend! Believe in yourself. Do not let anyone rob you of what God created in you.
Disclaimer, I reposted this one because I loved the encouraging words. They inspired me and it is my prayer they will for you again.
Today’s Encouragement is to remind you that no matter where you are in your journey of life, it is ok to turn around if you are not happy where you are.
“No matter how long you have traveled in the wrong direction, turn around.”
Unfortunately, life doesn’t give us a book in how to do everything right. We have to live and learn as we go. We learn through experiences whether they are right or wrong. If you are happy with where you are, continue going forward, but if you are not, do not be afraid to turn around.
Ask God to guide you in every step you make. Lean on Him when you get to the forks in the road. Seek His guidance in which path to take. Stay in His company so you hear if He tells you to turn around. Lastly, trust in His guidance.
My friend, you can do this! You are strong enough and brave enough to travel this journey, even if life has you turning around.
If you are blessed enough to have a friendship do not take it for granted. Each one should be cherished for it’s own relationship.
Each person has a personality that reflects a portion of yours which is why that friendship works for you and maybe not for someone else.
When we moved where we live now, I struggled for years to find a “new” friendship. I had never struggled with making friends before, but here I am, living in a new place with a new baby and I only knew a couple of people and they were my relatives.
I discovered as I struggled with this season of loneliness that the friendships I had were only temporal. Back then we didn’t have the social connections we have today with our computers, Facebook, Instagram accounts and cell phones. Back then you either picked up the phone and called someone or you wrote a note or sent a card in the mail.
You had to make a greater effort to stay in touch with your friends and loved ones. There wasn’t the instant gratification of social media or FaceTime .
To the person who knows this pain of loneliness, hang tough. God knows your heart and is preparing that perfect friend for you and will introduce you when He feels it is the perfect timing.
Have faith and be patient. When God blesses you with that friend, it will be sweeter then you could have possibly wished for.
I know this feeling all too well. I had to go several years without that special relationship, but when I least expected it, I met my best friend and we truly have a unique and special friendship that I could never have looked for had I settled for just any friend.
As a result of not being impatient and just jumping ahead of my desire, God blessed me richly with the ones I have now.
Over the past year and half to two years, God opened up the doors to some special people whom I call friends.
Not in a million years could I have picked any of these people who are in my life. Each and every of them hold a special place in my heart. Each one of them reflects a piece of my personality which contributes to our relationships. We compliment each other which allows for our friendships to blossom and grow.
My Lonely Friend, have faith, God will do this for you as well. Wait Him out and when you do, the blessings you will receive will be well worth the wait.
Today’s Encouragement was inspired by a friend who was encouraging me as I was sharing with her, a hope and dream I have to make some extra money for our family.
“Moms are a lot like Jesus. You can give us a fish and loaf of bread and we stretch it out for a month. It’s what we do as women.“
I have heard this bible story my entire life, but found this encouraging the way she used it to inspire me. I attached the Biblical version for those who may not be aware of it.
16 “But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”17 And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”18 He said, “Bring them here to Me.” 19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. 20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. 21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.” Matthew 14:16-21 NKJV
In this quote she used mom’s because we are both moms who know how difficult it is to financially struggle at times. However, this can apply to anyone whether you are a parent or you are single person with no children.
The key to this quote is to remember, no matter how little you may have or how difficult your circumstances may be, God is always here to encourage and bless you.
Do you have a need that is difficult to find a solution to? My Friend, turn it over to God while putting your trust and faith in Him to provide for it. There is never anything too big for Him to handle.
God is in the miracle business. He fed five thousand people with only two fish and five loaves of bread. He turned water into wine. He raised the dead to life. He healed many as well. These are just a few of His miracles, but the meanings are to show and remind us that God is fully capable of meeting each and every need we have today.
My Friend, Today’s Encouragement is to remind you, no matter what your need, situation, or circumstances are, they will never be too big for God to help you with. You need to simply ask knowing with faith and trust that He will meet your need, but remember, in His timing. You have to keep your heart open to hear and wait for His answers as His timing doesn’t always equate to ours. You have to wait on Him like a child does with a parent, to see if your answer will be yes, no, or maybe. Be mindful while you wait, that He allows circumstances to come and go from our lives for a reason, because nothing He does is ever by accident. These circumstances often lead you to the solution you are waiting for. You have to remain patient and remain open minded to watch and wait for your answers.
“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” Alexander Graham Bell.
How many times do we find ourselves questioning what we should do in life and we just stand there paralyzed from fear, confusion, uncertainty, insecurity, and a lack of trust in ourselves?
Today is the day I want you to look in the mirror and tell yourself, “I love you and I will trust in you again!”
My friend, many times we get so busy with life that we find ourselves trapped by a series of poor decisions or we are living a life consequences due to our poor choices. As a result we forget there is a need to love and trust ourselves enough to believe our inner voice called the Spirit of God and our inner judgement to make decisions.
You need to learn to love and trust yourself again. By doing this you will be able to confidently walk away from the closed doors you are waiting on and will be able to see the doors God is opening now.
Your Encouragement Today is to remind you perseverance leads you to hope.
Hang tight as your ride out this tough time and cling to God’s promise…
“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Romans 5:3-5 NKJV
The key to these verses are…
“…tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope…. “ Romans 5: 3-4 NKJV
Perseverance was a word God gave me to cling to when we were struggling through the tough times we had when my husband lost his job back in 2014. He kept reminding me to “trust” Him and to persevere on. As a result, it truly gave me the hope we would come out of that crisis and we did.
It is my hope this gives you the strength to see God will help you through your situation as well.
Keep moving forward, My Friend and know God is a God of hope. This problem will pass and there will be a time you will look back at where you are today and see all that God has helped you get through.
Just remember the key to today’s encouragement…. tribulation produces perseverance, then perserverance produces character, and character produces hope.
Lastly, your hope is the light at the end of this very dark tunnel. You will get there.
Life doesn’t stop just because it is Christmas time and trials of life do not just disappear for this season, Your struggles do not know a time of day or a season of the year.
So how do you still cope with the trials of daily life while trying to enjoy the Spirit of Christmas?
Give your trials and concerns over to God allowing Him to give you the gift of “peace” for Christmas.
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV
This sounds so simple but often times, if we are honest with ourselves, forget to do it. Allow yourself a break during this season to put your trials and hardships of life on the back burner and enjoy the “Spirit of Christmas” to permeate your soul.
