Perspective Alters The Colors of The Weeds in Your Life

Encouragement Today

Today’s inspiration is to look beyond what you see because beauty can be found in everything and everyone if you only change your perspective.

“Weed are flowers too, once you get to know them.” A.A. Milne

Have you thought about how everything in life revolves around perspective. Depending on what your circumstances are, if you look at them from a different perspective, you could change the entire outcome.

Think about what the definition of perspective is.

per·spec·tive

pərˈspektiv/

noun

a particular attitude toward or a way of regarding something; a point of view.

If you look at a situation in your life from a pessimistic perspective, your outcome will likely have a negative outcome, however if you look at a situation from an optimistic view, you are likely to have a positive outcome.

My challenge to you is this, the next time you find yourself in a difficult situation, examine and evaluate every aspect of it. Examine how you are looking at it and evaluate where you can make the necessary changes that will change the outcome of how everything turns out.

If you tend to be a pessimistic person, consider working on how you look at your life. If you could take one small step at a time to change the view in which you look at your difficulties, you will be amazed at how much different everything will look.

My friend, take the weeds in your life and consider looking at them as the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen. Think about them in a field. You can look at a beautiful field covered in the yellow of buttercup flowers or a brilliant orange from the Indian paintbrush flowers, but think about how nice they would look if they were all over your lawn? No one who puts the effort into having a nice lawn wants to see weeds growing up in it, but those same weeds can make a plain field look majestic when they are growing all together.

My friend, everything in life revolves around a matter of perspective. Open your heart and your eyes to evaluate how you are looking at all the obstacles you may have. Consider looking for the brilliant colors of the weeds in your life and see how they will change you by changing your perspective in how you see them.

Find Yourself Through Humility and Confidence

Encouragement Today and Motivation Monday

HumilityToday’s Encouragement is a reminder of the importance of having humility and confidence within yourself.

All too many times we get so busy pleasing others, helping others, supporting others, and even enabling others that we forget who we are and get lost in the busyness of life.

If I was to ask you what is your favorite ________________ you name the item, can you tell me what it is?

Do you remember what your favorite show, movie, song, book, or activity is? When was the last time you did it? When was the last time you enjoyed it?

I believe it is all to easy to lose track of what is important to us and in the process of forgetting this, we lose confidence in our own identity.

I believe we become so programmed to go about our day in the such a routined manner  that we just go through the motions without giving any thought to what we “really” want to do. We forget what is important to us. We forget what we like and what we enjoy doing? Not because we knowingly or willingly do it, but because it just happens.

My friend, it is vitally important that you make a conscious effort to insure this doesn’t happen. It is important to remain humble but confident in order to remain strong and happy within yourself.

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” —Norman Vincent Peale (success.com)

When you establish this balance you will regain peace, strength, confidence, and happiness within your life again.

If you are finding yourself less than happy and insecure in decisions you are making and indecisive in choosing activities, check your confidence level in who you are.

My friend, it is critically important to not forget you are just as important as other people are in your life.

You have to be sure to fill your cup daily in order to remove anything from it to give to others.  Take care of yourself so you are able to continue to take care of others.

Do not give away so much of you that you do not even know who you are any longer. This is not beneficial to anyone you love or are helping and it is really not helpful to you.

Take time daily to insure you are taking care of yourself or you will not be able to help others.

God Offers Blessings For Humility

Encouragement Today

79842EBE-5CD8-4BD4-B573-BE397B153968Today’s Encouragement is to remind you to show others your humility.

The Bible has a lot of verses dealing with this character trait thus making it important to God. We should take this command seriously.

“True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” C.S.Lewis

This is only one of many, but it comes with a promise, a promise that ends in a blessing.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭NKJV‬

Just remember to remain balanced. Being humble is healthy, thinking less of yourself is healthy. Just do not “forget” yourself in the process. Everything has to be kept in a healthy moderation.

I was raised with the importance of being humble and I completely agree with this, but on the other hand, no one reminded me there was a healthy balance to remain humble.

Follow God’s command and show humility my Friend, but remain balanced in the process. You have to remember you are important as well as your endeavors.

The key to this verse is to not be boastful and brag about your accomplishments. Let them stand on their own merits. Let God have the control over blessing those accomplishments, then you will be able to remain humble.

I am here to remind you what others did not tell me, balance my friend, balance. Do not disregard “all of you” in your humility. Keep this in your heart because it is important. Do not forget about all that is important, just do not brag about it.

Happy Friday All! Be humble while remaining balanced before God and man. Let God bring forth the blessings you will receive for what you have done or become or accomplished.

How many times do we take credit for what we build, what we create, or what we make?

  • Does this mean the career you are doing well in?
  • Does it mean the college class you are taking or the degree you are earning?
  • Have you signed a contract for an amazing job opportunity?

What does this look like in your personal life? What is going right that you have taken full credit for without giving it a thought that God actually blessed you with your accomplishment?

Now for a humble awaking.

We are not in control of anything that goes right or wrong in our life. God is in complete control of our circumstances.

He blesses us with what we have. He gives us the strength to get through the trying and difficult times. There is nothing in our lives that we have complete control over. Only God has this complete control over everything.

Only does He know what our future holds and how today molds us for our future.

“For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Our job is to not become prideful and begin thinking we are doing everything for ourselves. God wants us to give Him the credit and the glory for our accomplishments because without Him we would not be blessed.

Today’s challenge is to give Him the credit for all the great things in your life. Do not take credit for all that you have accomplished. Give God all the credit.

My friend, today be humble.
