A touch of decoration…

Do you have a 3 tiered serving tray and you want to leave it out on display when you are not using it? Look around your house and upcycle things to use in your tray.
In my tier I used…
- green tissue paper
- recycled coffee cups from Christmas tier
- recycled firefly lights from Christmas tier
- recycled the eggs from my Easter decoration, but found them still perfect for this display
- recycled a sprig of white flowers from an earlier project
- only purchased from a dollar store three sprigs of flowers because I needed a pop of color
My friend, before you purchase something, especially when money is tight, consider looking around the house to find something you are no longer using or you have extras of and see what you can make out of it now.
I hope this inspires you to make something fresh for your house today.
Happy Decorating!

I am a wife, mom and daughter. I have served in the United States Army, gone to college and received a Batchelor's Degree in Criminology. I married my husband when he was on active duty in the United States Army so I have the unique knowledge of what it is like to be on both sides of a Military uniform. I have been a wife for a lot longer than when I was in the Army.
While we were stationed in Germany, my daughter, who is 21 years old now was born and I chose to put my career on hold to be a mom and eventually a homeschool mom.
The past almost 10 years have been wrought with many struggles for various reasons, but it is as a result of those struggles that this blog has come about.
As the years passed and the struggle kept coming, I would say to God, "I'm not sure why we have to go through all of this, but if we have to God, then allow my story to serve as a means of encouragement to others so all this pain isn't for nothing."
Well the years passed but the struggles never went away. I feel now is the time God wants me to begin sharing my story. It is my prayer as I share my heart that it will serve as a healing opportunity for you, my readers. Know you are not alone. There is hope and encouragement that waits.
