Today’s Encouragement is to think about what are your personal strengths and who are you?
All too many times we fall into the ruts of life and we forget about who we are and what we like.
Somehow our lives become so routined that somehow our passions and “true” character get left behind.
I remember vividly someone asking me, “what do you like and describe your character to me.”
I gave the generic answer of, “Well I am a wife, a mom, a homeschool teacher,” and that was where they stopped me. I had become so programmed that this was my identity that I forgot who I was.
I forgot what my favorite music was. I forgot what my favorite tv show or movie was. Honestly, the only thing I could tell them was my favorite color and I love popcorn. Beyond that, I had become so lost that I didn’t know who I was.
Can anyone else identify with this loss?
I still have not found my identity, but I am determined to find it. This is one of my goals while at am on this self seeking journey.
How about you? Do you need to do some soul-searching? Do you know who “you are?”
I will leave you with this thought provoking challenge… “Who am I?”
I am… _____________________ fill in the blank.
