Courage is Knowing Tomorrow Will Be A Better Day

Courage is Knowing Tomorrow Will Be A Better Day

Wow, so thankful today is coming to a close.

There are some days that just never get better and you just want them to go away and forget they ever happened.

Today was one of those. I did end up at the emergency room this morning with my husband and our sweet adopted extra (aka, special friend) had her wallet stolen from a store she was at. So we spent the afternoon trying to do the store security’s job because we couldn’t seem to get any answers from the store management team. The poor girl never did find her wallet, but her persistence got the security team to do their job and hopefully in a day or so the thief will have his picture posted on the crime line for identification.

Now as I am closing out the day to go to sleep, it is with a heavy heart still because I am still not ready for my daughter’s special day. I don’t have her cupcakes made yet. My house is a mess and I have no gift for her.

This is what messy chaos looks like in my home. This is what life out of control looks like. I spent the day trying to look at the bright side of things and to actively seek small blessings, but they have been hard to identify.

So with my kitchen a mess, dirty dishes in the sink unwashed, and people coming over early tomorrow afternoon, I am choosing to leave it all undone and go to bed. I am praying I will be able to go to sleep and make an attempt to wake up on the right side of the bed in the morning.

I’m grasping at a way of finding how this could be encouraging to others, but tonight I would say it comes from the raw honesty of how some people’s lives truly look. So many times we look to face book and Instagram and see how “perfect” peoples lives are because they don’t ever let people see the dirty and messiness in their life. Well, tonight I am unmasking from my secret life of pretend to allow my ugly raw emotions to be seen. I hope it encourages others to see there are people who have messiness in their life as well.

Dear sweet friend, if your life is a mess, please know you are not alone. I am standing there right beside you. Hugs! We will get through this difficulty.
