Random Acts of Kindness

Kindness Produces Encouragement in Others

Good Evening Friends. I hope your week has started out well. As we all know, Monday’s can often times bring great struggles.

Tonight’s encouragement will be short, but it is my prayer that it will be encouraging and enlightening.

How many times do we get trapped in our little world where life is all about “us”. We are all in a hurry to drive down the road. We are in a hurry to get out of the line at the grocery store. Everything we do in life we are always one step behind where we want to be.

I know when God created us He never intended for us to be rude and disrespectful to each other on a consistent basis, but yet we do it without even thinkinIMG_1696g about it any more..

Everywhere we turn someone is giving a dirty look, honking their horn at you, yelling at you, or just being down right ugly.

The question I have is why? Where did the simple thing called manners go? Why is it so easy to just be nasty to someone, mostly strangers, why? Just because we can? In my opinion, this is not acceptable.

God wants us, His people, to be everything that is the opposite of what the “world’ views as acceptable behavior.

“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God commanded us to love one another, show compassion and be sympathetic as well as encourage one another.  He never intended us to be rude and disrespectful. We aren’t to gain anything as a believer from this unacceptable behavior. If we do as God asks of us, He will bless us as we bless others.

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I have a challenge as we proceed through our busy weeks. Consider your actions towards strangers, your friends, your co~workers, your boss. Anyone you come in contact with this week,

How can you make a difference in their lives? Consider how you can touch their heart whether it be just a moment in time or whether you can deeply touch them. How can you make a difference which will allow a person to see God shining through you?

Consider this thought. God may have been preparing the heart of the person you may come in contact with and has full intentions of using you to touch them. Who are you to hinder the work of God’s plans by being stubborn and disrespectful to people whether you know them or you don’t?

As you drive to work tomorrow and you encounter rush hour traffic, instead of being rude and not let someone in the road, take a step back and be nice if you feel God leading you to do so. IF you are at the grocery store and you have a shopping cart full of groceries consider letting the person with only one thing in their hand go ahead of you.  To you gentlemen reading my post, how about you hold the door open for the lady going in or out of a store or business. It is amazing to me the amount of men who don’t do this for ladies any more.

These are random acts of kindness that can impact a person’s day and either help them to turn a bad day into a good day, or it can at least put a smile on their face.

Consider this my friends, allow God to use you to impact the lives of other people around you. It is always wonderful when you can encourage people you know, but be available to encourage the people you do not know. Allow God into your heart and ask Him when you start your day, how can I impact someone’s life today? How can I bring a smile to someone’s face?

If you have a random act of kindness and wish to share the amazing experience, please share in the comments block below so we can all rejoice along beside you how God used you to bless and encourage another person.
